Nayong Pilipino at Clark

As we were getting ready to go to Pampanga this morning for the annual Christmas visit, I heard over the radio about the new Nayong Pilipino site recently inaugurated by GMA and Charito Planas.

The old Nayong Pilipino near NAIA has been closed. So we decided to go there after lunch.

The place wasn't as big as the old site and I had the impression that there were lots more to do including expansion. I suppose it was a soft opening and the staff weren't charging a cent. Here are some pics:

Here's a nice tree veranda of a house on stilts.

There were some Aetas selling really cool bird whistles that gave bird calls. They were an instant hit with the kids. They were so good, we bought 4 of them.

There were plenty of picnic tables and benches.

With some lazy ducks at the side.

A bamboo garden with an Ifugao hut behind.

Here's a shot with the Barasoain Church replica in the background.
